Our Clients are Just THE Best

Whenever I tell people that I am a Professional Organizer, the first thing they ALL say is, “I NEED YOU!” And my response is, “Everyone says that!” But when they follow up with, “No, I really do need you!” and ask for my business card, that’s a different story.

When I receive a call from a potential new client, I thank them for their bravery. It is brave to ask for help, It is brave to bring someone you don’t know into your home to see all the ‘stuff’ that they don’t want others to see.

I ask the Lord to send people to me who need my help and that I can come along side of to go through this part of their lives. Sometimes it’s a master closet project, sometimes it’s a whole house, and sometimes we work together for a long time. It’s interesting how the Lord leads people to me.

I met one of my newest clients when we were volunteering for the day to help with the clean up endeavor from Hurricane Helene in East Tennessee. We both saw a post on Facebook asking for volunteers so we went to the meet up place in Knoxville. Neither of us knew anyone else. I saw her standing by herself so I put my big girl britches on, went over to introduce myself and to see if she wouldn’t mind me riding along with her on the hour and a half trip.

We did end up riding together and chatted along the way, getting to know each other. And when she heard I was a Professional Organizer, she said she needed me. We chatted more until we reached our destination. We ended up at different sections but had lunch together before more volunteer work.

At the end of the day, we rode back together, talking all the way. Made for a quick trip! I gave her a business card and thanked her for letting me ride along.

Shortly thereafter, I received a call from her.

“I told you I needed you and that I’d be calling you!”

We looked over her project and coordinated schedules. We decluttered and organized. We had a wonderful time together. And we became friends. Sometimes that happens and it’s just the best.
